LED is new technology with advantage of saving energy and very long lifespan. But all LED light sources can not be faultless especially SMD, High Power LED, Super Flux LED etc. In case of no diffused optical lens used, such LEDs usually cause glare and zebra strips . But when optical lens or cover used, it will cause light loss when LED beam pass through this lens or cover.
Compared to traditional lighting COB LED modules are super bright for the small space they occupy. COB LED out perform traditional lighting by up to 50 times the light output per centimetre of light surface. COB technology provides significant advantages over traditional surface mount technology (SMT). It is designed with better temperature management, smaller LED module for greater lumen output and lower production costs.
